STEM / Entrepreneurship / Ethics Faculty

Dr. Julia Schaletzky is the co-chair of Heterodox Academy Berkeley and a faculty member in the Biological Sciences, directing the Molecular Therapeutics Initiative. She focuses on interdisciplinary approaches and public/private partnership for the discovery and development of new therapies and tools. Julia teaches Bioentrepreneurship, Access to Medicines and Bioethics and is actively researching the politicization of science. She is a writer of Op-eds and scholarly articles on the topic, and a member of the Berkeley Initiative for Free Inquiry and the Academic Freedom Alliance.
