Heterodox Academy is a nonpartisan, nonprofit membership organization of thousands of faculty, staff, and students committed to advancing the principles of open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement to improve higher education and academic research.
HxA aspires to create college classrooms and campuses that welcome diverse people with diverse viewpoints and that equip learners with the habits of heart and mind to engage that diversity in open inquiry and constructive disagreement.

Our directory platform connects you with a wide array of speakers, all of whom are academic professionals and engaged HxA members dedicated to advancing the principles of open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement as cornerstones of academic and intellectual life. They lead by example, make their case with evidence, disagree constructively, and uphold standards of academic integrity in their work.
HxA does not serve as a speaker's agent, booking agent, or travel agent. Speakers found and invited through this platform set their own prices and work with the host to make scheduling arrangements.
HxA does not endorse the work or views of any individual speaker, nor does any individual in this listing speak for the organization as a whole.
