Lauren Hall on Radical Moderation

My current work is on radical moderation, but I also give talks on healthcare policy, including how health care regulations contribute to the medicalization of birth and death.

My work on radical moderation argues that we need a four dimensional understanding of politics to move past the one dimensional binaries that contribute to polarization. It's not enough to meet in the middle or compromise. We have to reframe how we think about political and social problems altogether. Doing this requires that we have a clear and accurate map of our shared social and political landscape, one that's not manipulated to match our ideological preferences or biases.
